April 1st is April Fool’s Day, a prank-filled tradition that goes all the way back to the 1500s. When Europe switched calendars and moved New Year’s celebrations from spring to January, some people missed the update or ignored it. They kept celebrating in April and quickly became the butt of jokes, earning the nickname “April fools.”

Fast forward a few hundred years, and the tradition lives on. From harmless jokes to over-the-top pranks, April Fool’s Day is all about surprise, silliness, and not believing everything you hear.

Now it’s your turn! What’s the funniest (or most unforgettable) prank that’s ever happened to you?
